Your order will be shipped ASAP as per my policy and by making a purchase from Lady Silkworm, you agree to the terms provided in the Shipping and Live Guarantee policy stated herein. (If you place your order on Thrs or Fri, please be advised that your items most likely WILL be shipped the very same or next day, unless you specifically instruct me to do otherwise by paypal notes or by email, asking me to ship the coming week. Lady Silkworm will not be responsible if your live items perish during shipping should USPS be delayed in any matter in its delivery past a 2-3 day window and/or if your day time temp is 80 or higher.  I find Monday shipping to have the highest risk due to overcapacity. You have been required to provide a phone number and the PO SHOULD contact you for pick up. If your shipment is DOA within the 2-3 day window you must send me email with photo within 1 hr of stamped delivery time to get credit.  Silkworms if left in direct sun, WILL die in about 20 minutes. Please resort to my live guarantee option should there be any doubt. All LIVE packages come with warning labels but sometimes postal workers simply DO NOT care. My postman comes around 10am every day and all packages are left in the front door where it is always shady. If your postman comes after noon, then, it is absolutely imperative that you pick up your order in the morning hours or leave at the PO for evening pick up. Depending on the size of your orders, some packages come in  SMALL flat rate boxes, although vented and screened, you can't be certain if your mailman is going to place it in a hot oven mailbox!  There is NO reason to just let the feeders cook in heat, when you spent all that money to get the best feeders, right?

Lady Silkworm reserves the right to cancel (and refund) any order to which the destination I feel may be adversive to shipping silkworms. (Particularly if you live in a remote area from major hub, DO NOT ORDER!) You certainly have the option to upgrade shipping to next day delivery using either discounted UPS, FedEx, or USPS overnight immediately after purchase by contacting me at [email protected].

There are times where I may not be able to fill the order due to inappropriate sizes or short inventory, I do apologize ahead of time for those occasions but I will always attempt to consult/notify you by email first. Typically, depending on when the order is filled (esp later in the week), your orders will be on the larger side of the descriptions.... if they are on the smaller size, you will be notified.

I ship out of NY. If you live close to a major airport/hub, your package (most of the time) do arrive in a 2-3 day window (ie. NY-VA, NY- CA, Shipped Fri, delivered Mon am). However, if you are in a remote area outside of a 100 mile radius of a USPS hub, please RECONSIDER your live order during hot summer time.

* caution about shipping live silkworms. Silkworms are very sensitive and do not tolerate heat well. They can survive without food for up to 7 days, but if overcrowded, overheated, and fed chow that are already bacterial laden, their lifespan shortens dramatically during transit.  Please bear in mind when ordering silkworms during adverse shipping conditions.
