Color Chow! These color chows are endorsed and patented by the Chinese sericulture sector. They have become widely popular in the last few years overseas. These are NOT genetically altered silkworms; they are simply fed on colored mulberry chow. It is recommended that you raise new hatchlings on regular chow to one inch before switching to this color chow. Or if your silkworms are fed on leaves, you may smear the chow on the leaves for them to consume. These color chows come in 100g hot dog sized tubes and can feed 10 silkworms from 3rd instar to cocoon. You may feed this chow to as many silkworms as you'd like to sustain the color for just a few days, or feed them during the 5th instar and watch them spin colored cocoons! You can even blend your own colors. Refrigerate after immediate use. They are safe for silkworms, and are a novelty item. Colored silkworms spin naturally enhanced color cocoons. These silkworms are not recommended as insect feeders and color intensity does vary depending on amount and frequency of feedings. However, I have fed them to my african cichlids and glad to say my fish are all doing fine. They are quite the rave! Feed to your pets at your own risk.
